No Eggs, No Dairy Real Deal Eggnog

For many people, the holidays mean eggnog. Traditional eggnog, unfortunately, is a tasty delivery system of calories, saturated fat, and sugar. It’s time this tasty tradition got a make-over. This version has no eggs, no dairy, but it tastes like the real deal eggnog.

Remember to take this recipe up a notch in health and flavor by using organic ingredients.

To your blender add:

3 cups of dairy-free milk of your preference
1 24-oz can of lite or full-fat coconut milk, your preference
Maple syrup (start with 4 Tbsp and add more to taste)
½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Blend until smooth. Try it, and add maple syrup, cinnamon, and/or vanilla to taste.

Serve chilled or over ice, or heat. Garnish with coconut whipped cream, cinnamon sticks, fresh rosemary (try it!), mint leaves, or, of course, a bit of bourbon, rum, or brandy for the non-designated driver adults!

Can’t get enough eggnog? Now’s the time to think outside the glass! You can use eggnog as the liquid in baking your favorite holiday treats, as a dip for French toast, in pancake batter or bread pudding, as the base for pudding and Brûlée, in coffees, milk shakes, and even churn it into ice cream!

‘Tis the season! Enjoy your No Eggs, No Dairy Real Deal Eggnog however you choose!
